观音的两滴眼泪
一颗化作绿度母
一只脚踏入泥土
祂说
让我走进你的苦难
Two tears fell from the Bodhisattva.
One became Green Tara —
One foot touching the earth.
She said:
Let me step into your suffering.

刻处染
瑞兽戏于金叶间
一双彩目
跃金而出
Gold upon gold
drawn, carved, tinted.
A mythical beast plays
among golden leaves.
Then a pair of colored eyes
Leaping out of all that gold.
金线勾形
刻处显纹
金纹深处
可见吉祥八宝
次第展开
Gold lines the shapes;
Carving reveals the grain.
And deep in the golden field
The Eight Auspicious Symbols,
unfolding in sequence.
玛瑙刀錾金
千锤万丝
彩宝如星辰落定
日月光华
Agate burnisher chasing the gold
A thousand strokes,
a web of threads.
Jewel-toned pigments fall like stars
Splendor of sun and moon.
